K.O.M. is the abbreviated form of Karu's Own Militia a group of artiste who met and joined up while living in Karu, a suburb or satellite town in the FCT.
K.O.M. currently consist of "Linus Da Huzzlah", "5 Mics", "Carlos", "Swift", "Papa Tee", "G-Lynx" and "Sir-Kastic". K.O.M. has in the past performed at Rhythm 94.7 FM's inaugural bash, World Music Day Festival (2005) at NTA Arena, The British Council (2002), and other various functions and shows to mention a few.
The singles "Make Some Noize" has in order of appearance Swift, Carlos, 5 Mics, Linus, Sir-Kastics and Papa Tee on it. The instrumental was produced by "Big El Da Architech", The track was voiced at "Giant Beat Studios" at Eddy Vic Hotels, Garki II, Abuja.
The second single "Rest in Peace" ("Erin Wo") which literally means the Elephant has fallen is a tribute to the dead which is based on true life experiences of "Carlos and Linus" (who are blood brothers and both lost their Father and Mother) and "Swift" (who lost both his elder Brother and Father). It also features "Famous Amos" who sang the chorus. The instrumental was produced by "Larynx" and it was recorded at "Giant Beat Studios". Further more both singles were mixed by "Big El Da Architech".
These singles are the first set of singles from the forth coming 19 track banger to be titled "Ghetto Testimonies" due for release later on in the year.
The forth coming album will feature other established and upcoming artistes which will include the likes of Modenine, M. I., Blackface, S-Doggie, Styl Plus, Crusade, etc.
