Qslimz took up interest in music at tender age, A Rapper & an Artist who does a whole lot of writing and a little bit of dancing. "You can be a performer and not an artist" she says.."but i am more of an artist than a performer still working on my performance skills". " I have spent time researching everything i can about the music industry and becoming an artist, i am not only honing my song writing skills and piano playing capabilities but i am also developing my total package including my image and stage presence". The Nigerian born describes her own music as fun and unique, where some tracks tell stories and others are a showcase of creativity i.e. fun yet meaningful. When asked about her type of music, Qslimz responded, "Right now i see my music as uncategorized (laughs) but my infuence ranges from Heather B, MC Lyte, Lauryn Hill and oh yes the King of Pop Michael Jackson, so there goes a vast combination (laughs) feel free to categorize it yourself and i'd take it like a duck takes to water". While Qslimz's heart is in the Hip Hop world she also gears her music to other genres like Reggae, pop, rock and afro pop. "I find it inspiring that you can also be in the spotlight maintaining a sense of variety and wholesomeness. Lately i have been working on being versatile, getting familiar with that Nigerian Hip Hop vibe which is quite exciting since i am bsed here in the United States tring to do my very best to break into the Nigerian Music Industy. I have made a couple of songs targeting the African audience and i am still working on more songs that 'My Nigerians' could relate to. I plan to work with a few talented Nigerian producers in the near future and i am pretty excited about the forthcoming experience". copyright © KMG-Kantata Media Group
