About me: THE MAN Blackface born Augustine Ahemdu in Obalende, in the city of Lagos, Nigeria in the 70s. He attended Army Children School, Otukpo and Mount St Gabriels Secondary School Markudi in the Northern part of Nigeria,for his primary and secondary education respectively. He later on proceeded to IMT Enugu,for his tertiary studies, where he majored in Business Administration & Management. A principal founding member of the defunct multi-platnium selling act Plantashun Boiz, a dynamic RnB/Hip Hop group that changed the face of the Nigerian music scene in the late 90s in Nigeria.Due to his urging quest to explore his deep artistic cravings,he released his first exclusive solo Album titled "Ghetto Child" in 2004,a compilation of hard hitting political rebutal Dance-Hall music style,laced with deep African percussions & dictions,proving his dexterity in terms of creativity and his direct influences in numerous sounds that dominated the Nigerian airwaves in the past four years and also wrote loads of songs that defined the careers of loads of A-list artistes in Nigeria. INSPIRATION He connects with the plight of human suffering which defines his revolutionary kind of sound, that speaks about the ills the people in Africa, especially Nigeria,are exposed to on a daily basis. His Inspiration comes from great civil rights activist such as Martin Luther King Jr.,Malcom X, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Bones Hammond, Sizzla Kolongi, Nas & 2pac. PLEASURES A sucker for The Rock(Basketball),loves written songs and an ardent lover of Soccer. THE RESUME Blackface is a prolific song writer who has written loads of hit songs that has defined the careers of many artistes in Nigeria, including the MTV Europe Award 2005 winner in the Best African Artist of the Year category Tuface Idibia on the hit song African Queen which is also the soundtrack for the FOX Century Motion Picture "Phat Girls" starring Monique. Tony Tetuilas My Car a certified gold album in Nigeria, Weird MC African Woman, Black tribe, SVJ and many others.
